Zenoti alternatives for hair salons in India: the 2026 shortlist

If you searched for a Zenoti alternative, you probably hit one of two walls. Either you asked Zenoti for a price and got a demo call instead of a number, or you are already a customer at a size where the suite feels like more machine than your salon needs. Both are real situations, and most pages ranking for this query will not help you with either: they are written by competing vendors, each ranking its own product first, or by software directories paid per lead.

This page is also published by a vendor. ViteUneCoupe is free online booking software for hair salons, with no commission, and it sits at the opposite end of the spectrum from Zenoti: booking only, no POS, no inventory, no multi-location dashboard. So instead of pretending Zenoti is bad software (it is not), this comparison does something more useful: it explains what Zenoti actually is, why its pricing model is a poor fit for an independent salon, and which alternatives publish terms an Indian hair salon can verify before a single sales call. Every claim below was checked on the vendor's own pages in October 2026, with the currency each page really showed us.

What Zenoti actually is, and what it does well

Zenoti deserves a fair description, because its story is more Indian than most owners realise. Its founder, Sudheer Koneru, and his brother ran Latitudes Health Club and Tangerine Spas, a chain of fitness centres, spas and salons in Hyderabad, and built the software after living the pain of managing a multi-location wellness business without the right tools, a founding story told on Zenoti's own press pages. The product that grew out of it is now a global enterprise platform, and it is genuinely good at the enterprise job: one system covering appointments, POS, inventory, memberships, loyalty, marketing, analytics and payroll-grade reporting across dozens or hundreds of locations, with AI tools layered on top.

Its flagship Indian reference says everything about who it is built for: Lakmé Salon chose Zenoti to manage a network of over 300 salons across 80 cities, per Zenoti's own announcement. Franchise reporting, capacity utilisation across cities, centralised inventory: for a business of that shape, Zenoti is a serious, proven choice, and nothing below pretends otherwise.

The quote-only pricing problem

Here is the practical issue for an independent salon. Checked on Zenoti's pricing page in October 2026, there is no public price at all: the page states that pricing is customised based on your footprint and needs, communication tools are billed on consumption with optional base packs, and every path leads to a quote or a demo. No currency, no entry figure, no plan grid.

Quote-only is not a scam. It is the normal sales model for enterprise deals, where a 40-location contract is genuinely bespoke. But for a one- or two-location hair salon it creates three concrete problems:

  • you cannot compare what you cannot see: every other number on your shortlist is public, Zenoti's is a sales conversation;
  • the consumption layer is open-ended: SMS, WhatsApp and voice usage billed on consumption means the monthly bill moves with your appointment volume, so the quote is a starting point, not a total;
  • the negotiating table is tilted: the vendor knows what every customer pays, you know nothing. If you do engage, get the full first-year cost in rupees, the renewal price, the consumption rates and the exit terms in one written quote.

Third-party directories circulate monthly figures for Zenoti, but a price the vendor does not print is a price we will not repeat. Treat every second-hand Zenoti number as unconfirmed.

The real question: enterprise suite or independent-salon tool?

Before shortlisting alternatives, decide which job you are hiring software for, because "Zenoti alternative" means two different things.

If you run a chain or franchise with five, ten or more locations, your alternatives are other suites, and most of them in India also sell by demo: DINGG and Respark, both from Pune, publish no price grid either, as checked on their sites in October 2026. Swapping quote-only for quote-only solves nothing by itself; what changes the deal is making every vendor compete on one written, itemised quote.

If you run one or two hair salons, the honest question is which enterprise features you would actually use. Multi-location dashboards, franchise royalty reporting and centralised inventory do nothing for a two-chair salon. What you need is a reliable appointment book your clients can reach at 10 pm, reminders they read, clean client records, and, if you bill under GST, invoicing that keeps your accountant happy. Whether that last job needs software at all, and where booking software ends and salon billing software begins, is its own question, as is what GST actually requires from a hair salon, covered in our GST guide for Indian salons. The rest of this article is for you.

Zenoti alternatives with terms you can verify, compared

Everything below was checked in October 2026 on each vendor's own site, with the currency the page actually displayed to us. Where a price is gated, we say so. The wider field, vendor by vendor, is in our comparison of hair salon booking software in India.

Software Price (checked October 2026, currency as shown) Commission Scope
ViteUneCoupe Free plan; Standard from 29 € excl. tax/month, billed in euros 0 %, always Booking only, email reminders
Salonior Solo ₹5,000/year; Signature ₹15,000/year per location States 0 % commission Salon suite, India
Bewtee Free plan (capped); Pro ₹4,700/6 months or ₹7,700/year Not advertised Salon platform, India
SalonBoost ₹799 or ₹1,499/month, sold as annual plans, GST included Not advertised Salon suite, India
Zylu India trial ₹99/14 days, setup ₹1,999 + GST; plan grid did not render prices for us Not advertised Salon suite, WhatsApp API included
MioSalon Tiers named, figures gated ("varies based on the country") States no commission Salon suite
Salonist Shown to us in USD: $59 to $179/month 15 % once on a marketplace new client's first visit Salon suite + marketplace
DINGG, Respark Quote or demo only, like Zenoti Not advertised Suites for salons and chains

ViteUneCoupe: the opposite of a suite, free and commission-free

The limits first, because against Zenoti they are the whole point of comparison. ViteUneCoupe manages appointments and nothing else: no POS, no GST invoicing, no inventory, no payroll, no memberships or package balances, no multi-location management, and no payment integration of any kind. Reminders go by email only, never WhatsApp or SMS, which is a real gap in a WhatsApp-first market. The paid plan is billed in euros, not rupees, so the ₹ equivalent moves with the exchange rate and your card may add a foreign-currency fee, and the booking page currently shows service prices with a euro symbol, so many Indian salons keep the detailed ₹ rate card in the free-text service descriptions or on the printed menu. The interface is in English and French, with no Hindi or regional-language option. A salon leaving Zenoti because it wants a cheaper suite should not land here; a salon that realises it never needed a suite might.

What the free plan includes, permanently and with no booking cap: unlimited online bookings at 0 % commission, a personalised booking page for your hair salon, your service catalogue, staff schedules, a client database that stores +91 numbers normally, and your calendar. The Standard plan, from 29 € excl. tax per month with no commitment, adds automatic confirmation, reminder and thank-you emails plus ICS calendar sync. Bank-card anti no-show protection is announced as coming soon in a Standard + Anti No-Show plan at 49 € excl. tax per month; until it ships, reminders and a visible cancellation policy are what cut no-shows in an Indian hair salon. Whether a free plan like this covers your salon or you need paid machinery is exactly the question our guide to free versus paid salon booking software in India works through.

Salonior: published rupee pricing, per location

Salonior markets itself explicitly as a Zenoti alternative for Indian salons, and its differentiator is that the price is printed: checked on salonior.com in October 2026, the Solo plan is ₹5,000 a year for one user and one location, Signature is ₹15,000 a year per location with unlimited staff (extra locations ₹10,000 a year each), every tier carries all features, onboarding and data import are free, and the page states 0 % commission, with payments running through your own Razorpay account at the gateway's standard rates. A custom white-label tier exists for chains. For a small group of two or three salons that wants suite features at a number it can read, that is the pitch; test the WhatsApp and reminder specifics during the trial and get them in writing.

Bewtee: an Indian free plan with caps, then flat rupee pricing

Bewtee also positions directly against Zenoti for Indian salons. Checked on bewtee.com in October 2026: a free plan with no card required, capped at 100 messages and 100 customers, then a Pro plan at ₹4,700 for six months or ₹7,700 a year with those caps lifted, paid by UPI, card or net banking, with a 14-day full-refund window and a note that taxes may apply per local regulations, so confirm the GST treatment at checkout. The caps make the free tier a real trial for a working salon rather than a long-term home, but the paid figure is public, flat and in rupees.

SalonBoost, Zylu, MioSalon: the Indian mid-field

Three more Indian tools whose terms we verified for the full India comparison, summarised here. SalonBoost publishes plain rupee prices, ₹799 and ₹1,499 a month sold as annual plans, with the explicit line that the price shown is what you pay, so GST is inside the figure (salonboost.online, checked October 2026). Zylu includes the WhatsApp Business API in the product rather than as an add-on, with a ₹99 fourteen-day India trial and an optional ₹1,999 + GST setup; its plan grid did not render price figures for us, so confirm the plan price during the trial (zylu.co, checked October 2026). MioSalon names its tiers but gates the figures, stating the price varies based on the country, while its no-commission promise is printed on the page (miosalon.com, checked October 2026). All three are suites in the Indian mould: POS, GST billing, client management, messaging.

Salonist: a published grid, in dollars, with a marketplace

Salonist publishes an actual grid, which its pricing page showed us in US dollars in October 2026: Essential $59, Advance $109 and Expert $179 a month, unlimited staff on every tier, no contract, plus a free marketplace listing capped at 50 appointments a month, and a one-time 15 % fee on a brand-new client's first visit when that client found you through the Salonist marketplace (salonist.io, checked October 2026). We could not retrieve a rupee grid, so open the page from your salon or get the ₹ figure in writing. SMS and WhatsApp reminders arrive at the Advance tier.

DINGG and Respark: quote-only, like the tool you are leaving

Both Pune-built suites appear in every Indian Zenoti-alternative listicle, DINGG most aggressively since it publishes its own article targeting exactly this query. Both are credible products aimed at salons and small chains, and both, checked in October 2026, publish no public price grid: pricing is by demo. That does not disqualify them, but be clear-eyed about what you are doing: replacing one quote-only vendor with another. The fix is procedural, not emotional: the same written, itemised first-year quote in rupees from each, covering subscription, GST treatment, WhatsApp and SMS rates, onboarding, extra locations and the cost of a client-data export when you leave.

The total cost, not the headline

Whichever direction you go, suites and booking tools hide their costs in different pockets: annual billing conditions, GST added at checkout, per-message WhatsApp meters, marketplace fees, payment processing, onboarding. A "cheap" tool can out-cost an "expensive" one at your real appointment volume, so restate every option as cash leaving your account in month one and total spent over twelve months. We run that arithmetic, pocket by pocket with worked rupee examples, in the real cost of salon software in India. And weigh the reminder channel consciously: if WhatsApp automation is non-negotiable for your clientele, that rules out some tools (ours included) regardless of price, a trade-off our guide to appointment reminders for Indian hair salons takes apart channel by channel.

Leaving Zenoti without losing your data

If you do move, sequence the exit before touching the contract. Export your client list, appointment history and, if you use them, membership and package balances, and check what arrives in the export, because package liabilities you cannot see are money you owe clients. Open the new system, rebuild services and staff rosters, and run both calendars in parallel through at least one full colour cycle before cutting over. Only then cancel, in writing, against the notice terms of your contract. The full step-by-step, including timing the move outside the festive and wedding rush, is in our guide to switching salon booking software in India.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Zenoti cost for a salon in India?

There is no public figure. Zenoti's own pricing page, checked in October 2026, states that pricing is customised based on your footprint and needs, with communication usage billed on consumption, and offers a quote or demo instead of a number. Monthly figures circulating in directories are not confirmed on Zenoti's own pages, so treat them as rumours and get any quote in writing, in rupees, with consumption rates itemised.

Is Zenoti good software?

Yes, for the business it is built for. It grew out of its founder's own chain of salons and spas in Hyderabad, and it is a proven enterprise platform: Lakmé Salon chose it to manage over 300 salons across 80 cities. The question for an independent salon is not quality but fit: multi-location dashboards and franchise reporting are paid for whether or not you use them.

What is the best Zenoti alternative for a single hair salon in India?

It depends on the job. For online booking alone at zero cost, ViteUneCoupe's free plan offers unlimited bookings with 0 % commission and email reminders, with euro billing on its paid plan as the trade-off. For an Indian suite with published rupee prices, Salonior (from ₹5,000 a year), Bewtee (Pro ₹7,700 a year) and SalonBoost (from ₹799 a month, sold annual) all print their figures, as checked in October 2026. For WhatsApp-led automation, Zylu includes the WhatsApp API and Salonist unlocks it at its Advance tier.

Which Zenoti alternatives publish their prices in rupees?

As checked on their own sites in October 2026: Salonior (₹5,000 to ₹15,000 a year per location), Bewtee (₹4,700 per six months, ₹7,700 a year), SalonBoost (₹799 and ₹1,499 a month, GST included, sold as annual plans) and Zylu's trial and setup fees (₹99 and ₹1,999 + GST, though its plan grid did not render figures for us). MioSalon, DINGG and Respark gate their prices; Salonist showed us dollars; Fresha showed us euros.

Does ViteUneCoupe replace Zenoti?

Only if what you actually use in Zenoti is the appointment book. ViteUneCoupe manages online bookings, client records and staff schedules, free with 0 % commission, but has no POS, no GST invoicing, no inventory, no memberships, no multi-location management and no WhatsApp or SMS: reminders are email only, and the paid Standard plan (29 € excl. tax per month) is billed in euros. A chain or a salon that lives on Zenoti's billing and inventory features needs a suite, not a booking tool.
